USC has 3 slots from my High School and I was nowhere near that percentile to even try going to the University of Second Choice (all of the other ulcer patients either applied to Ivy League, Bezerkely or Ugly Chicks Living with Assholes for their first choice).
I can't imagine what I'd be doing had I gone to USC. . .
I wanted to teach Music, and dropping $$$ for a Music Ed. degree (w/o scholarships) would've been utterly foolish. In the long run, having gone to a private school turned out to be kind of a lame decision given my first career.
