the smoke is crazy high behind us and flames were very visible from my upstairs last nite
Another reason why “gender reveal” parties are stupid.

But for real those fires can just stop now. Stay safe.

our homes all have tiled roofs.
I packed the important stuff... just in case. Not super likely b/c there's no fire near us.
But just in case some pregnant couples decided to have a party.....

Never a bad idea. I know a couple people who, in different situations were forced to leave their homes because of a fire and they were told they had 10-15 minutes. I’m not sure I’d think clearly in that moment!

My good friend and client who lives in Yucaipa was evacuated for three nights. He just got back home this morning.

I've been starting to put together a mental list. . . and it's annoyingly longer than I'd like it to be.

Yeah it IS a good idea to have somewhat of a prepared just in case goin on we just all THINK that but don't always act on it until yeah your being told you have 15 mins
I AM gonna prep a suitcase & box or two for that situation and hope we never need it. Even in the burbs and inside the track you never know also the whole earthquake deal

RB I just knew it you were somewhat north of Pasadena
Glad your friend got to go home and HAD a home to return too

We had the strangest sky today here & up past Yuciapa as there was finally a lil drop in temp but the mix of smoke and precipitation made for a strange looking sky

We haven't seen the Santa Anas here yet. Very still (and very smoky) air. People around here are nervous. Forecast is for gusty winds, then subsiding. High fire danger. The sky is very strange looking here, too.
