It really sucks here though. Things got so bad here that, at one point, my boss thought that upper management might fire our entire group (and mainly because of one person ).

It's particularly bad for me 'cos I'm in the process of applying for my permanent residency, and also because I just bought a condo.

Thanks George. I really hope things get better as well. We're taking steps to prevent the series of accidents of last week from happening again. (Or at least to be able to respond to them better).

I won't get into the details of what happened, but two of the four websites we run were down, twice each, within the past month. Last week, we were this close to running into an unrecoverable error .

Yup. Ah well. I really hope the worst is over now.

I have a lot of respect for my boss now actually. I'd probably have gone mad if I were in his position.
