Default Decisions...decisions...

So, here's my latest quandry. I could possibly have the opportunity to decide between the two following toys. The snag...I can only choose one and, whichever I choose, I have to give up on the other one for good.

Here are the toys in question:

Buell Lightning (or maybe a different naked bike)

or

Any suggestions? Why would you choose one or the other (or why would you have ME make the choice)?

Thanks for your help!

Caterham.

I don't see a bike being a great toy in the PacNW. The Caterham would be slightly better but also has 2 extra tires on the ground and a passenger seat.

I'm not particularly a weather weenie, so much of the year is top down or riding weather to me.

As for the second seat...with a fianc

I was more referring to the safety factor. I know you're about as insane as they come when it comes to not using your roof.

And there'll be plenty of time for the minivan.
I'm curious how many people vote Caterham primarily because of the safety factor. To be honest, while this weighs significantly in either decision, this isn't a deal breaker for me. Over the years, I have become so used to having to be so reactive to other people on the road (small convertible as well as bicycle riding on streets in cities and highways) I'm not overwhelmingly concerned about being on a motorcycle.

The way I figure it, I'm just about as endangered in a Caterham since I will be sitting even lower than in my Miata.

The upside to the Caterham is that it's funky cool and that I can build it myself.

The upside to the motorcycle is that it's something I've never owned and always been interested in.

Safety factor is probably about 20% of my decision. The other 80% is the coolness factor of the 7 combined with it being more fun.
