Attention Whores!

Between them temporarily losing Jen's bag when we got there and walking into wicky's room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door and walking in on me when I was getting out of the shower just to ask if I was happy with the service...I was not impressed.
Add to that the fact that the inclinators, though a fun novelty, make getting around to different floors a raging pain in the @$$ and it's just not a very good hotel...

I was fine with the actual rooms...don't need any more space than the pyramid rooms, but I wasn't impressed with the service at all. I'm not a demanding customer, but when I ask for something I either want to get it or be PLEASANTLY told why it is not possible. At best the majority of the staff was curt and that is simply unacceptable.
Most of us were on 16, but also had people on 5, 21 and 25. 25 was the biggest hassle, because the inclinator was on the opposite side of the pyramid.
Like I said, not a major problem, but an inconvenience.
The hotel is physically cool to look at and experience, but it's mostly a novelty. There's a reason most hotels in the world look like...well...hotels...

I've stayed at the MGM Grand. The service was worse than almost any hotel I've ever stayed in...and you're right about the walking distance.
I can't complain about the location of my room...I was just to the right off the inclinator on 16, so my walk was easy...but it WAS a hassle getting all the s together when we wanted to do stuff.
I know I could have complained and gotten a discount, but I wasn't in the mood on Tuesday morning. The Krispy Kreme doughnuts put me in too mellow a mood...

Same with the Venshian (sp), Had to take an elevator up 10 floors, walk through a breeze-way, take another elevator down 2 floors. Absolutely beautiful hotel though, the main shopping/bar area (non-casino) was amazing.
