So ive got something under my left eyelid. I dunno if its dirt, an eyelash (maybe both), and for the life of me I cant get it out. Ive tried eye drops, sticking my head under water with my eyes open, rubbing it for the better part of 2 hours...still nothing.

Any suggestions on how to get it out of there?

Just be patient. I know, easier said that done.

Can those lil gnats that usually come round from fruit come round from soil in a bag of herbs growing on my kitchen counter?

UnkieT, what would be the proper way to train for next saturday? Mild 3-4 mile rides, or condition and do nothing but 10ish mile rides?

Well, before we jump to somebody else's answer, photos would be good. Chances are the little gnats are from garbage or some other odd bits in the house. . .

A little more saddle time won't kill you.

I usually ride every day, if not then I'll only skip one day. I mean should I focus more on the longer rides, or stick with the shorter rides.

Unless in your "I'll answer your question without answering your question" way, you are suggesting doing 10-mile'ers

I'm stating that we can take a nice, leisurely pace. . . even then, we'll be speed-limited on most of the trail most of the time. I wouldn't worry about it.
