I have AT&T service. In my area their reception sucks, but I changed my phone to use the Cingular towers only and noticed much better reception.
I thought they use the same towers now?

I was thinking of migrating too. From Sprint (which blows) to Cingular. Cingular is the one with "rollover" minutes right?

yeah, cingular is the one with roll over minutes (it's kinda funny cause those minutes that are rolled over are really only good for minute usage "spikes", which means that most people are still in a plan that's actually too big for their needs...too bad fair and flexible is the only good thing about sprint).

The thing that bothers me about cingular's "migration" process for current attws is that each number you migrate costs YOU $18, and you are then forced to pick a cingular price plan (very few of which are comparable to att plans). And has anyone tried dealing with their "customer service"...what a joke

i'm not looking forward to the migration either..
if you don't switch, are they going to force you to? also, if i have to switch, is it considered a break in contract if i go with..say..verizon?
