Where to sell a 2001 S2000
I thought this would be the best place to find out where is the best place to sell my Red 2001, 1 owner, 14,000 mi, S2000. It is a weekend driver in California.
I thought about Ebay and some other national sites, but If there is a better place to find a local buyer where I do not have to deal with all the pain in listing on a national site.
She has been taken well care of and I was thinking what better place than s2ki to get the best info.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

if you list it here we will just make fun of your price until you are low enough to give it away.
if you list it on www.autotrader.com, you will be on there with 1000 other S2000's that are for sale.... same with www.cars.com
best bet is to list it in your local paper, or plan to trade it.
I got $23,500 on trade for my 2001 S2000 2 years ago....i tried for 2 months to sell it for $24k myself and got no bites.
same with my 2003 Silverado that i sold in July 04...... i got $19k on trade and could not get anyone interested even at $20k.....
same with my wifes Millenia... traded for $14k, got no hits at $14,500 in the paper and on the internet.
goodluck.

Thank you for your colorful reply.
I appreciate the information.
The reason I came to s2ki is because I thought there would be a better appreciation for the condition of this particular S2000 from the people that obviously are proud of their ownership. A non educated person would not necessarily know how many of the S2000's are modified for racing and might have been used to their maximim potential. A garaged weekend driver ,in my opinion, is still a "virgin" to this type of extreme use and would be a good deal to the people "in the know".
I could always put it in the paper for just anyone to see and have a bunch of yahoo's looking at a flashy red sportscar. But an S2000 enthusiast would know right off the bat that this is a peach.

as an example of what is for sale on this website.....
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=269615
2004 with 6k miles for sale for $25,500..... that car has a full warranty, bigger wheels, glass rear window, etc....
Your 2001 has none of that. You will be very lucky to get the $22k that you are now asking (saw you edited your for sale thread).
goodluck..... there is no appreciation for a nice S2000.
