2006 Laguna Blue Pearl S2000
VIN JHMAP21466S005504
40,271 miles
XM equipped
Summary:
This has been a Texas car for most, if not all, of its life. I have owned the car as a weekend car for almost five years and 20,000 miles. It has been autocrossed, but well maintained. Laguna is my favorite S2000 color, and I’m still in love with the S2000, but I found a CR.
Maintenance:
I have personally done all the maintenance and can provide the details of how or why the car has been serviced. Honda notified me to bring the car into the dealership for a possible recall on the brake booster. I haven’t brought it in because the car feels fine to me.
Paint cut, buffed, and waxed at 40,000, prior waxing done at one year intervals
New Robbins vinyl top installed at 40,000
Last alignment done to OEM specs at 40,000, prior alignments done periodically
Rear differential fluid replaced at 40,000
Last oil change at 39,500, prior changes at six month intervals
Mugen rear toe-link bushings replaced at 39,500
Valves adjusted at 39,000
OEM plugs replaced at 39,000, prior replacements at one year intervals
Exedy OEM replacement clutch replaced at 39,000
VTEC solenoid replaced at 38,000
Transmission fluid and coolant replaced at 38,000
A/C compressor replaced and system recharged at 37,500
Brake fluid, pads, and rotors replaced at 37,000
Leather cleaned and conditioned at 30,000, and prior at 20,000
Mugen lower control arm bushings replaced at 20,000
Flaws:
The windshield has two rock chips that have been there for years and have not increased in size. Replacement windshields are never as good as OEM so I’ve left it original.
The previous owner parked into a curb once or twice, leaving some rash across the front lip and a rear wheel.
There are two very minor hail dents, one on the hood near the windshield and one on the trunk near the rear window. There is also a door ding just below the driver’s door handle. All can easily disappear with pointless dent repair.
The paint had touchup work done when I bought it. There are another 20,000 miles of rock chips across the hood and rear quarter panels now.
The tires are practically on the wear bars but I’ll gladly mount a set of 10,000 mile Hankook V12 Evos before the sale.
The front fender tabs were rolled with a heat gun, but the paint on one tab on the passenger side did eventually crack.
The previous owner ran over something that hit the rocker panel near the front wheel. The rocker is slightly bent and the paint cracked. It sounds worse than it is.
There is a small puncture in the vinyl on the driver’s side door near the window.
The leather is in good condition, but something has stretched a small indentation in the passenger seat bottom.
