Description:
I am the 2nd owner of this car. Originally purchased to be a track car, but when my other car was stolen and this became my daily driver. The previous owner had it until 198k or so and he definitely babied it. I had to double take when I saw the mileage. It looks like it could have 50k miles. I know it had engine refresh at some point but I do not know the mileage of when that was performed. I also know the shocks were replaced before I bought it. Exact month and year uncertain. So lets get down to it:
The good:
- Interior in very good shape for its mileage.
- Brand new premium top with glass window. This was replaced earlier this year and is the upgraded twill weave cloth, not vinyl.
- Fairly new full set of Nitto NT05 tires
- Front bumper was repainted last year to remove rock chips.
- Headlights fully restored and polished. They look brand new.
- Alpine head unit with bluetooth handsfree and USB audio. I have the stock HU as well that I will give to the buyer.
- Alpine Inline amp
- Rear headrest speakers "S-Pods" with Alpine Type S speakers.
- All maintenance current.Transmission fluid flushed and filled July 2016. Oil Changed every 5000. Mobil 1. New plugs and coil packs last year. Replaced various gaskets too. Have receipts.
- Exhaust. Unsure of brand. Its not very loud, just a little deeper. Have stock exhaust I will give to the buyer.
- Champion 3-core aluminum radiator. I bought this when I first purchased the car for the track. They don't make this radiator any more but it is the best you can get. All welds, no press fittings.
The not as good:
- Burns some oil. I'm told this is common for a higher mileage S2000. I had it checked out and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I drive this car to work every day.
- The CEL comes on and off for the dreaded misfire issue. I have been unable to figure it out but the car does not feel like its misfiring at all. The idle can be a bit rough when the CEL comes on but it in no way feels like the car is limping on less than 4 cylinders. Its probably something simple, but sometimes the light isn't on at all. Its very strange.
- Small scratch in the rear bumper, visible in the photo. The front bumper also has a few hairline looking cracks. Less than an inch long. Hardly noticeable.
I'm on the fence about selling this car since its been so good to me and I am really quite fond of it. I just bought a 08 BMW Z4M so it seems silly to have 2 roadsters. This is the only place I have listed the car so far. So you guys can have first dibs. Thanks!

FWIW, I was having the same misfire CEL issue and replaced the coils, plugs, and MAP sensor (and tightened it with a ziptie) and the problem has been gone for good. Just in case you wanted my $.02. GLWS!
