one thing for sure...you won't come across a car like this with such low mileage at such low cost. im only doing this because i need money quick!!

i just wanted to point out that even though you aren't charging sales tax the owner will have to pay tax when they apply for their title. doesn't matter if you buy it used/new or from a dealer/individual.

it does matter if you buy from an individual or a dealer. if you buy from a dealership, they charge your county tax which here in athens, it's 7%. However, if I (private owner) sell the car to another individual, no one pays sales tax. Sales tax applies only if you have a commerical tax ID.

Other states, like Florida, require you to pay sales tax when you title the car.
Hence, selling a car in GA as a private party is a 7% automatic advantage against a dealership. GA sellers seem to know this, since private party FL cars seem cheaper.
