I love this car. It's going to be hard to let her go. But I just got married and we've decided that we want to buy a bigger house. And despite several attempts, I haven't been able to justify keeping the S ... at least for now. I'll be back in a year or two, looking to buy. Here's a pic:

1. Purchased from David McDavid Honda in Frisco, Texas, December 2005.
2. Engine was fixed under warranty due to a knocking sound coming from the bottom of the engine. Low end completely replaced less than 500 miles ago. Drives like a dream now.
3. Front tires look almost new. Rear tires are brand new. All 4 are Avon Tech M550 A/S.
4. Garage kept, interior and exterior in excellent condition.
5. Just under 35K miles on the odometer.
6. Clean CarFax Report.
7. Clear title.

Hello, the car looks very nice. I am interested in the car, but I have a few questions. Did they rebuild the bottom end or replace the short block. What was the cause of the knock? Does the new block come with any sort of warranty, how about the rest of the engine? What modifications does the car have? Has it ever been in an accident? How often has it been raced/tracked?

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I haven't been checking the site very often. If you send me a PM, it'll email me to let me know.

They completely replaced the short block. They never told me the cause. They said that they just ship it off and an engineer with Honda eventually will look at it for quality improvement processes. But they didn't tell me exactly. They grilled me from here to eternity about my oil changing practices. And in the end, I had to prove to them that I had been changing the oil regularly before they would honor the replacement under warranty. I can double check with Honda on the warranty if you would like.

The car has no modifications other than an Alpine car stereo. It has never been in an accident. It has never been raced or tracked.
