Up for a sale is arguably one of the most famous S2000 inthe community. This is Rob RobinettesS2000 racecar. Rob got out of racing and I purchased this car directly from him. The car has an extensive and well-documented history and holds the S2000 lap record at Summit Point. Every point this car has been gone over and addressed.
I purchased this car because I wanted a safe, fully caged,well-prepared car and it is always considerably cheaper to buy one then buildone. I am a long time S2000 owner and have had 6 in the past and have sold 4 to s2ki members who continue to thoroughly enjoy the cars today. Neither Rob nor I skimped on any expenses on this car and both are long time S2000 owners.
The modification list is extensive. I just purchased a very low mile clean 2007F22C from Inline Pro and had them install it. The car as a large radiator, oil cooler, and Canton oil pan to ensurelongevity and endurance during hot New Jersey and Virginia 30 min HPDE sessions.
Rob used this car mostly for HPDE and time trails and it only participated in a couple of races. I used this car only for HPDE events. The car is extremely clean for a race car. It is currently registered and insured and I occasionally play with it on the street.
It would cost more then double the asking price to build a similar car to this. If you are looking for very well built and documented S2000 for the track, this is it. Car was last setup to race in PTB or ITE butI just used it for HPDE.
