I've smogged it twice since having have the turbo. Both times it passed no problem. That's the main selling point about the kit, you don't have to worry about a thing.
The top does have a tear in it but can be repaired pretty easily from what I've been tolda. Other than that the car is in excellent shape. I've always babied it and am the guy who doesn't mind walking a few hundred feet to ensure when I park, nobody is besides me.
The turbo kit is very reliable. The only thing that goes wrong with it is the stainless steel manifold's crack, mine has the updated cast iron so no worry there. One guy just went 20,000 miles on his. This one might have 4,000 miles. I hardly drive the car as I mentioned before.
