Overview
I am the second owner of this beautiful, fun to drive, and reliable S2000. Just oil, brakes, and tires were needed to keep this car running healthy and strong as my daily driver for the past 8 years. The car did participate in some HPDE events (never wheel to wheel), so there is increased wear on some items like the brake calipers and front bumper. The engine was never over revved and still runs as smooth as the day I took ownership. The car did have a Hard Dog roll bar installed, but this was removed two years ago.
Maintenance
*Right rear knuckle and inner CV joint (due to a rubbing issue) @ 47,000mi
*Catalytic converter and O2 sensor @ 65,000mi
*Soft top @ 86,500mi
*Timing chain tensioner @ 100,500mi
*Last Transmission oil change @ 86,500mi
*Last Differential oil change @ 99,500mi
*Last Oil Change @ 110,000mi
*The winter tires (Bridgestone Blizzaks) on OEM wheels have been put on the car (12/29/14). Included in the sale is a used set of well worn Sumitumo tires on OEM wheels. These would have to be replaced shortly. This fact is reflected in the price.
The Bad
*Chip in the front windshield.
*There is also a small tear in the lower portion of the soft top (see photo). This does not leak.
*The paint on the side mirrors is also showing signs of fading and the right side mirror has scrape marks (see photo).
*Bubbling in the clear coat is occurring along the top of the right rear quarter panel (see photo).
*The paint on the front bumper is beginning to crack (see photo).
*In February 2012 the vehicle tapped the rear of another car while rolling up to a light. Very minor damage was reported by the other car which shows on the CARFAX. The S2000 showed no signs of damage.
*The factory scissor jack is missing.
The Good
*Oil changed every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1
*Only 6,000 miles per year put on the car over the last four years
*Just passed NJ state inspection in June
*Clean title, fully paid off
Extras
*Second set of OEM wheels included (~$150)
*Full set of new rotors (eBay blanks) and brake pads (OEM Honda) included (~$200)
*Spare nuts and bolts acquired over the years
Non-OEM parts
*SPC adjustable ball joints (front/upper)
*Megan adjustable rear toe arms
*Whiteline front sway bar
*K&N air filter
*Modifry glove box organizer.
