GL with the sale. In case you don't get any takers, you might want to try and part the entire car out (behind the windshield, since it doesn't look like anything in the engine bay is salvageable). You might not get $8K, but someone out there will need seats, carpet, door panels, top/frame, etc. Just a suggestion!

Did you double up the filter gasket, looks real fat. I know it's a common problem with some filters, the older gasket getting stuck and left over.

We're pretty sure we didn't double it up.... if that were the case it should've leaked right away. This was 6 days later. We think the gasket blew. We've been told a local dealership has seen a number of cars recently with leaky filters.
