Looks clean but lets be honest, 18.5 is the KBB value for a clean title car. Salvage is usually 50-60% of the value so 13.5 isn't really a ridiculous steal.

1. it has a reconditioned title

2. ask most dealers, reconditioned titled vehicles are considered low book value in kbb, which for this car is still above 16k.

3. Also depends on what type of damage, this cars interior was soaked due to the top being left down in a storm, it has all been replaced, no rust whatsoever, its cherry! The car has functioned without a hiccup for over 3 years (the water damage happened in 04)

And lets be honest with ourselves, many cars receive salvage status for nonsense, like my 00 civic si, it was stolen and the front fenders, bumper, grill, and radio were taken, it still start up and ran perfect, but the insurance company decided to salvage it out. I was like I can get those parts for cheap! You have got be kidding me.

Trust me, this car is mint minus the front bumpers paint. The new owner will be extremely happy he saved thousands on a s2k that runs just the same if not better then other s2000's.

He is going to trade for a Civic with no/AC?? Doesn't sound like a wise choice for a family car..
