You are way high - especially with the dealer-cash Honda is offering towards dealerships. You could get on eBay right now and purchase one for $29,000.00 or less depending on how aggressive a dealership is going to be in moving the last of their 2005 inventory.

Even though the miles are great - it's still a used car.

Thanks. Still looking for serious inquiries. I am the sole owner of this car. The potential buyer will be able to talk to me personally and see the type of owner I am, unlike when someone buys from an internet dealer.

Again, thanks for the post, but I'm looking for a buyer, not a critic/sales guy looking to undermine private sellers.

I'm not trying to undermind your sale - I was simply trying to give you insight on your pricing in regards to someone purchasing a brand new S2000 versus your used one.

If you want to make your price more realistic then I would at least find a dealership to sell your vehicle through so the next owner could by the vehicle as a certified pre-owned vehicle.

Again, not trying to undermine you, just being realistic.

...and I don't think he is doing anything wrong...this is the way it works...if someone feels your price is too high, specially for something that can be bought for the same price...but NEW...it is ok to mention it I think.

Now...if someone still wants your car at that price, I am SURE they will still contact you. Don't take it personally.

Funny, 2 days ago this guys signature listed him as an Internet Sales Manager.. now as this thread progresses, he deletes that little piece of information to support his argument.....

I thought the purpose of this part of the website is "cars for sale", not "this is my opinion".....

I'll be posting at autotrader or ebay next week.....

Have a great weekend!

I have sold 2 S2000 before...an 01, about 3 years ago, I sold here on the forum for around $ 27K...it was loaded and had less than 10,000 miles I think.

Then, about 2 years ago, I sold an 00. I thought I had it priced right at $ 22,000 but nothing...it had 36K...no one around here would touch it. I ended up getting $ 22K on TRADE....

This is the place to buy...this is unfortunately, not the place to sell, unless you want to be extremely aggressive in price and move it quicker.

I paid $ 25,000 for my 04 about 4 months ago with about 400 miles...I thought it was an absolute bargain. As I scroll the board, it seems like a fair price now, not a hell of a deal anymore.

I tell you though....I bet you if I put it on autotrader in Spring (not today as it is almost Winter and you will get killed on price)....I will get as much as I paid for it, if not a little more.

Good luck regardless...you should not have a problem selling an S2000

Actually, I didn't delete that part of my signature - a moderator did because I'm not a site sponsor. I don't need to delete -or- hide anything to support my argument.

If I really wanted to put you in the toilet I would just scan what you car is worth via BlackBook standards - but that is not my intent. I'm just trying to help you realize your price is too high (especially for S2KI) when you don't get any traffic.

All I'm saying is that you should at least offer to run your car through a dealership and have it certified so that you can at least semi-justify your insane price.

Look at it this way - at least your thread is getting bumped.
