All,
My wife and I are thinking about unloading her 2000 S2000. She's the second owner, car now has ~95k miles on it. Mechanically great shape, and never modified (original owner was female as well, for whatever that's worth).
An incredibly detailed description with PICS can be found HERE (Click ME!). The description is what I wrote up to put on E*bay, but figured I'd post here first.
Price is $11,000 cash or certified check. If paying with check, I won't release the car until I've confirmed it has cleared my bank. There are just too many bogus checks floating around these days for me to consider taking the risk. Please don't be personally offended.
If interested, please reply to the this thread and we can take it offline if necessary.
**** Important note!!!
1) please read the description in the link carefully. Note that the lien holder (my bank) currently holds the title. The title is otherwise clear (i.e. it's not a salvage title). This is important because when a deal is completed, I will not be able to transfer the title to the new owner until I make the payoff and receive the title from my bank. I will make every effort to get this done as quickly as possible. By the way, please see my ebay feedback: Grant's E*bay Feedback
2) the description was written about 2000 miles ago. Since then, nothing has changed except the mileage and one new small dent on the hood (from a damn tractor trailer kicking up a rock). It's pretty minor on a 6 year old car with a few dings already, but I want to be 100% clear on what I know the condition of the car to be. I encourage all interested parties to come look at it.
Here's the "it's a real car and I'm a real (and obviously very handsome) person". As I said, more pics in the description link above!

Great price.
How do other people do it? There's a two week window where the buyer doesn't own the car and is 11K out of pocket. I guess you give the buyer the car and he uses your tags and parks the car for the 2 weeks that he's waiting for the title. Title comes to you from the bank, you transfer it to the buyer and then the buyer has to go to the DMV and get HIS copy of the title issued.
