Pretty much here is a copy/paste from another ad that I wrote for my car. I believe that it covers all of the important information. I also have a carfax report that I can this morning that shows the Florida title is clean and not rebuilt.
I recently purchased a new Focus RS, so the time has come to sell my beloved s2000.
It is a 2002 Honda S2000 with 115,560 miles on it (which can and probably will go up as I do drive the car a few times each week). Car has only been registered in Florida. Clean Florida title in hand, ready to sign over to a new owner. The soft top was replaced with a Robbins top back in November 2014 (I assisted the previous owner, who is a member on here). I also replaced the 15 year old worn and dirty blue carpets with clean, non-worn black carpets when I purchased the car from him.
Interior updates include an AP2 center console as well as the silver radio door cover and a brushed aluminum shift knob. Radio is a Pioneer headunit with bluetooth and usb aux input. Also installed is the Modifry DCI so you can use the oem radio controls to the left of the steering wheel to control the aftermarket radio.
Mechanically, the original intake valve retainers were replaced with the redesigned AP2 intake valve retainers and exhaust retainers replaced with new ap1 retainers as preventative maintenance and piece of mind (none of the original retainers had any cracks in them, which made me happy).
At the same time, I also completely stripped and resprayed the valve cover with red engine enamel since the original paint was flaking off. All new oem valve cover gaskets were put back on before the cover was reinstalled, along with new spark plugs and new oem denso coil packs.
Clutch replaced at 113,200 miles (oem clutch disk, oem throw out bearing, oem pilot bearing, oem bearing guide, ACT HD pressure plate, resurfaced original oem flywheel, oem master cylinder). OEM slave cylinder was replaced at 112,000mi. Other items replaced are new oem engine mounts, a Billman GenV timing chain tensioner, Hawk Street/Race pads in the front brake calipers, and Stoptech sport pads in the rear calipers (calipers are also painted black with g2 brake caliper paint), an aluminum radiator to replace the old 15 year old original radiator, and new idler pulley and accessory drive belt.
I would not hesitate to drive the car cross country for a road trip. It is in excellent mechanical condition.
The car currently has these items installed:
- Subframe spacers
- Ohlins DFV coilovers installed (installed at the same time as the clutch, along with alignment)
- Gendron front bar with ball bearing mounts
- 17x9 et55 949 Racing 6UL wheels with Hankook RS3v2 255/40 tires (7.5-6-6-4/32 tread depth)
- OEM AP2 rear wing and trunk (taken straight off a 2005 s2000)
- AP2 style led tail lights
- Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust
- 70mm test pipe with cel fix (secondary o2 sensor installed with no check engine light)
The car does have the usual stone chips on the front of the car from driving (it is 15 years old), a dent on the lower left side of the windshield frame (rearview mirror height, from road debris strike), the rear bumper has a crack in it just to the right of center above the license plate, paint cracks from a previous repair near the right rear tail light, and minor right side skirt dent towards the back. Everything is pictured. The carfax report shows one accident 7/30/2008, reported as left rear accident, car drivable, no airbag deployment.
