Hi all, my 2002 Honda S2000 AP1 with 120k miles is up for sale. I've owned the car since March. It's my third S2000 and the intent was to turn it into my track toy for a few years, but after clocking 4000 daily/track miles and modifying it to suit my taste, I've decided to move to a different platform altogether. I'm an S2000/Honda aficionado (have owned AP2, AP1, EM1, and NSX) but I've also wanted to own a P-car for a long time, and now is the time.
I have a binder full of shop records/receipts on the car from the last 2 years (previous owner and myself), totaling $19,912.87. I have it all in a spreadsheet (and Carfax) that I can share with interested parties. Since 2015 at 92k miles, the car has been serviced/modified by S2000 specialist shop Ballade Sports in Southern California. Prior to then it was serviced by a Honda dealer in Nevada. After I bought the car I've been taking it to another S2000 specialist, Rogue Motorsports in the East Bay.
Modifications (all done in the last 2 years):
Engine/Drivetrain:
Supertech valvetrain
AP2 banjo bolts
Ballade baffled oil pan
Ballade intake arm, throttle body, timing gear
Ballade headers (retains stock heatshield so it passes smog)
Ballade clutch kit and lightweight flywheel (only 16k miles)
AP2 exhaust
Suspension/Wheels:
Ballade Racing Spec coilovers (16k/16k)
Ballade rear axles and axle spacers
Megan Racing rear bumpsteer kit
Buddy Club front/rear ball joints
AP2 rear sway bar
Silver Enkei RPF1 17x9 +45 square
255/40/17 Hankook RS3 front, RS4 rear with plenty of life
Exterior:
Ballade OEM replica hardtop
AP2 front/rear bumpers
AP2 front lip
AP2 trunk spoiler
Pulled/rolled fenders (no tire rub)
Tinted windows
Interior:
AP2 center console
Modifry dash bracket
Blox shift knob
Aftermarket amp/speakers with AUX input, stock head unit
Broadway wide angle mirror
Other miscellaneous maintenance:
April 2015: Head gasket and thermostat replaced
Aug 2015: Replaced upper A arms
June 2016: Clutch master cylinder
Oct 2016: Entire car with hardtop was repainted (Rio Yellow? Originally Spa Yellow) by Ballade
March 2017: Valve adjustment and new Motul differential fluid
April 2017: New rear wheel hubs/bearings, new brake rotors (4) and alignment
April 2017: Replaced drive gear O-ring and VTEC solenoid (used), but there is still an oil leak from the solenoid. It's a common issue for S2000's and new gaskets and Hondabond should properly seal it. Currently I check the oil every 2-3 weeks and top off as needed.
June 15, 2017: Compression tested at 210, 202, 205, 210 psi by SakeBomb Garage. Engine pulls strong to redline with no hiccups.
