Now on to the car,
Hey guys, I'm selling my 2001 spa yellow S2000 with 92k miles. I purchased this car about a year ago and the only records previous owner had was a brake job done at 87k miles and a valve adjustment at 85k miles. Due to the uncertainty of the cars history I did a extensive inspection and replaced most of the fluids, a lot of the filters, bushings, and gaskets that were beginning to show age on this car. The compression of the motor is pretty good, all cylinders were between 220-240 range.
Here are some of the things I replaced/did right after I got the car.
Spark plugs change with NGK Laser Plugs
Oil change with Amsoil Signature 5w30 with Wix filter
Transmission fluid change with Amsoil Syncromesh MTF
Differential fluid change with Amsoil 75w90 Heavy Duty Gear Oil
Shifter re-greased with Honda Urea high temp grease
Cabin air filter changed with TYC air filter
Polished and reconditioned headlights
Changed both VTEC solenoid gaskets with OEM and Ballade Sports
Replaced TCT O-Rings (3) with OEM
Replaced serpentine belt with heavy duty Goodyear belt
Changed out front lower control arms due to seized compliance bushings and replaced with control arms from 30k mile car.
Changed out front upper control arms with newer control arms with newer bushings and SPC ball joints.
Alignment
The Good
Low mileage for a 2001, motor still running very strong (good compression)
Clean title, all body panels have original Vin attached
Top has been replaced with a Robbins top with glass window
Transmission shifts very smooth and clutch is still good
Some upgraded interior bits, AP2 center console with moddiction anvil shift knob, door panels and CR radio door
Upgraded stereo system with pioneer deck and component speakers.
Tasteful performance mods - vision cf spark plug cover, eibach pro kit springs, tanabe medallion exhaust
The Not so Good
The passenger side fender needs to be repainted, both fenders has some slight damage on the wheel arches due to running low offset wheels.
Quite a few dings here and there, can easily be remedied by some PDR
Front bumper has some rock chips but nothing out of the ordinary for a 16 year old car.
Tires could probably be replaced soon, still ok to drive for now.
Driver side seat is a little worn
I'm asking 10,000 obo for the car and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. I think it will be hard to find a car like this for that price. This car would be a great candidate for a track car or a daily driver. To make it perfect, just get the fender and front bumper repainted, the dents removed and you would have a fairly low mileage 01 s2000 that is in pretty good shape. Most of the issues has been addressed by me and it is ready for another 100k miles.
