Ad has been updated. Please reread, especially update note on top.

Basically it says if you are serious, please PM me that you are ready to buy at my price of $23,500 or PM me your best offer taking a chance which is no guarantee of a sale. I do want to sell this car within two weeks or sooner and will only deal with mature people who are serious and ready to buy the car AND the hardtop as described in the ad. (I have several offers for the hardtop and car separtely but none can fully address my concerns about damage.)

Thank you.

That sentence wasn't clear enough. I'll try to explain. I am concerned about selling the car and hardtop separately because the risk of damage to the car without the hardtop as I don't have a garage. The other damage I am concerned about is to the car in the removal of the mounting brackets that were put on on the sides during the initial OEM hardtop installation/fitting; removing these brackets to try to restore the car to the pre-hardtop risks some damage to the vehicle. While a very nice member here has offered to do that because he would like the hardtop, I can't guarantee the work, or housing the car (without the hardtop) to sell to someone else. If the car was scratched or missing the pre-installation parts it would be hard to sell, and hard to keep, which would not be good for me or the car buyer.

There have been several threads here from people that have bought a used hardtop from someone else, only then to learn they need some parts they did not know they would need to put the top on their car.

I suppose it would be possible to buy those parts saparetly from Honda but I don't know what that costs. Might be worth finding out. In that case, there would be no mounting points removed from the car chassis (or the damage I have been concerned about). Then the car could be sold on its own with the buyer having to deal with the brackets already on the car as I could just leaving them there. I could take the hardtop off at point of sale of the car, leave the hardtop in my house where it would be safe, and the hardtop buyer could pick it up after "preparing" their car chassis with their own mounting brackets at their own risk for installing and adjusting the top. That would probably not be so difficult. It would take more time.

I hope that made some sense.

Hey -- thanks for the question.
