KUMHO Tires introduces tires with scents in the United States.

The first Aroma tires will have a lavender scent. Later the company introduces orange and jasmine scents. Why would somebody want a scented car tire? Maybe after you have everything else pimped on your car, why not throw on some lavender tires?

Wow. . .thats just out there.

I think I'd prefer the tires I saw on an episode of Top Gear that actually smoke in different colors if I felt the need to have tires that have a gimmick (apart from giving my car traction).

Do these tires just smell like this day in day out, or is it when you burn them?

If this is for real then its just strange. I guess the smell intensifies when you smoke them?

Actually Ron...had you read the entire article... (Gawd)...you would have also read that not only do they incorporate STT (Scented Tire Technology)...but also a new and improved coloring system of when the tires need to be replaced... No more pennies in the tread to figure it out...or palming your hand only to have it snag on the cords...causing a gash and later infection... This new coloring system incorporate the colors of the rainbow and is instantly recognizable by many that your tires are going bald...

As evident here in this Kumho test track shot...the tires will not only leave the scent of lavendar in the air...but glorious colors of the rainbow all over...how delightfully gay!
