Bought a Pioneer XM Airwave at Circuit City last week for $150 after applying a $50 mail in rebate. Found a much better deal later at www.xmfan.com a few days later. Exact same unit, but priced at $100 after rebate.

The Pioneer is a great unit and very portable.

Let me know how you run the antenna. I cant figure out how to run mine to the trunk without punching a hole in the back panel. How do you get the fasteners off?

An electronics whiz friend of mine did the installation. He placed the antenna on a corner of the dash next to the window post then installed a bracket for the radio itself. The antenna and power supply wires were then cleverly hidden so the installation is very clean.

For those in the Charlotte area, Doug at Tech Interface does excellent work! He offers office, residential and mobile services for mobile phone and electronics installation. Cellular, Blue Tooth, Video-DVD systems, Radar, Remote Entry, Amps & Speakers are all available. He does work for Foreign Cars Italia, Hendrick Porsche, Carolina Audi to name a few.

Doug can be reached at 704.737.6388.

Sorry Jamie...no S2k. Put it in a vehicle I bought at Foreign Cars Italia.

Your Airgateness....where the heck have you been???????? I suspect the Terk antenna is much like the Pioneer Airwave...a small object with a magnetized base. Some say that the magnet will eventually ruin the paint if left on there too long. There is plenty of signal reception with the dash mount.

I knew someone would bite on that one....conjures up all sorts of images, huh? Needed a "work" vehicle for my UltraShield business, www.ultrashieldofcharlotte.com. They had a trade-in that fit the bill perfectly and the price was right...only paid them what they had in it. I can truthfully say that I only shop at the most expensive dealer in town. Sorry for the let down, but it's a '99 Jeep Cherokee...clean as a pin, doesn't use any oil and gets 25MPG around town.
