Would any of my Wilmington S2000 friends be interested in a mini-meet? I will be in Wilmington for an emergency services seminar the weekend of the 17th. I will be staying overnight Saturday and returning home Sunday afternoon. It would be great to meet for dinner or ice cream or something of that nature. Also any recommendation on accomodations? Most of the attendees are staying in the Market St. / College Rd. area. Looking forward to seeing many of my friends.

Neil,

I'll call some of the locals and get back to ya.

There's a Hampton Inn on Market St as well as a Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. There's also a Fairfield Inn on College at Market.

DON'T stay at the Motel 6 unless you want your car murdered.

The Wingate is good too, they have High Speed Internet if you need your daily S2Ki.com fix.

This calls for a run on Old Maple Hill Rd......then some Stone Cold Ice Cream.

airgate may also need a fix by that time. Count me in if the weather is agreeable.

This is sounding really good. I will be free after 5pm Saturday and after 1pm Sunday, so either time would nice for a quick meet.

Neil,
I hope you're still coming down next weekend. I think a drive would be better on Sunday during the day, finishing somewhere in Pender County. How about making that trip to the Elwell Ferry?

This event has accelerated my home improvement projects by a whole Darn week. Now, I've got to paint a living room, dining room and my Frog/office this weekend in preparation for new carpet. Not just regular painting, I have to do the trim and install new Crown Moulding too.

I hate painting

The wife has been watching the BBC's "Changing Rooms" waaaay too much.

A trip on the ferry? Whatever floats your boat . Really that is a good idea. I am happy that I will get to see you all for the first time this year.
