That's up by the Mint Museum - not much is up there but private residential and medical office parks.

I mapped your locations so far - http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=...6fbe604207b37f3

Can you get a complete listing of avail properties? Tell them you want west and south Charlotte.

Wow, thanks Saki! Here's a complete listing of properties, but hard to figure out what's actually available until they call. http://www.oakwood.com/furnished-apartment.../viewByMap.html

There appears to be 2 South Park locations, but only the 1420 Estates Ave location has availability.

The 3300 Eastover Ridge Dr location has really nice amenities, which is why I asked about it. Not sure if it's even available though.

There's probably been way too much work put into this. Charlotte seems like a beautiful city so I'm sure I'll be fine whereever I am.

If you can't get near South Park, stay uptown - you'll always drive against rush hour traffic and there good stuff to do uptown, down town, and off East Blvd and in Dilworth.

I Airgate!

The Estates Ave. looks like a good location. There is a good short cut to your office area from there by way of Archdale Rd off of Park Rd.

Stay away from Hwy. 521- as I remember the traffic was really bad. To put it in a local perspective, think of the Kennedy, during rain, at 5:30 p.m., after the Cubs game has let out, and there is only one available lane. Okay, maybe its not that bad, but its not fun.

Saki is right, choosing an uptown locale is a good choice (going against traffic) and you are, in most cases only 15-20 min. driving to any location.

Make sure you meet up with the Carolinas group. They are a GREAT group!

Thanks everyone for the advice, especially Saki and Huskergirl... I submitted all my preferences, so hopefully everything will work out. I'll be sure to drop the group a note when I'm out there.

Good luck! We DO love our Huskergirl and Saki (or "Sockette" as airgate likes to call him.)

I'm a bit prejudiced towards the uptown location, especially in the Gateway area (W.Trade near Johnson & Wales). Lot of cool new stuff going on down there with music, restaurants, etc and there's a grocery store in walking disance.

Let us know when you get in town!
