Default What a great day at the track!!

Well,

I just got back from the track (CMP) and I had a blast!

I am too wiped to write more but I just thought I'd share....

10 S2ks, three of which were driven by such skilled and experienced individuals we decided
to show the others the 'CORRECT WAY TO DO A 360 ON YOUR S!'

More details tomorrow.....

I had such a great time at the track! But I was so exhausted by the end of the day that I puttered home, barely making the speed limit.

It is unbelievable how one session improves your driving skills. I cannot wait to attend again.

Huskerhubby, though very excited seeing how happy I was when I got home, was none too thrilled at seeing a good portion of my tread wasted away on my newly purchased tires!

Anyway, thanks to Diego and Mark for posting the info and encouraging everyone to go! And thanks for the kind words about my brother, I really appreciate it.

I agree! It was a great day. Ron and I both crashed (on the couch, not the road) as soon as we got home. I still have a long way to go, but was really pleased with what I learned. Now I just need more PRACTICE!

Add my thanks, Diego and Mark, and to everyone for the encouragement (except HKStallion, of course!) j/k, it was a blast! Will post some pics and more details a bit later.

That was a blast. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the Carolina crew.

I need to start getting ready for the 11/21 run.

I managed to completly destroy a brand new set of pads. As I was pulling into the garage, I could hear the warning scraper against the rotor.

I hear you. My rear pads have about 1mm left before the scraper. I am going to have to change them before FC..

It was AWESOME! I have a healthy respect for S2000's now... you are all a great group to hang out with - see you at the next one!

Mark- Thanks for the video - it is still hard to tell if it's the tires or the instructor screaming

It was awesome - it is amazing how my voice changes after the screaming to a become a (semi) calm instructor...

Here is a link to one of my favorite videos:

Greg \"Where Are you Going\" Anderson At Beaverun

That is from inside of my car - he had just lost this brakes...
