Default Weekend racing Atl.

Start my own post.
Do they have a race at road Atlanta this weekend? (I know cars will be racing but for a STR prep S?)
I'm registered currently for ATL region SCCA points 2 (manheim drive center, Stockbridge)

So sell me on the reason you're getting a U-Haul again? Can't you just unbolt and remove the wing itself once you get on-site? Or just put your stock trunk on before leaving the night before? I'm pretty sure no one would care if you ran the CR wing in STR anyway. Again, its a local event, not a national tour.

Seems like a lot of work (and gas).

Nice pickup on the wheels/tires! The Z2's are certainly the street tire to beat these days.

I need the car hauler b/c I'm bringing more then one person, it's only 55$, the f-250 diesel extended cab isn't bad on gas(hwy),I want to take more then my S can fit in the trunk, extra wheels, pop up tent(GA sun.), jack, if I break my car I'm not stuck in GA, spare trunk lid is 4 10mm bolts super easy rather then messing with my cr wing hardware.
I have all the equip minus my own trailer(soon to be a family investment+ second S) to go all out so why not?
I busted both my knees playing ice hockey and I've been looking for something extreme to get my blood going again. I found it!

Ahhh I see. Yeah passengers would be an issue. I'd say you're still better off swapping the trunk before you load it on the trailer and leave the CR trunk lid at home.

If you think autox is extreme, you'd go crazy at an HPDE. I've yet to break anything at an autox (knock-on-wood) but track days are a totally different story. You need to get up with Stephen or Will and go with them to a track event this year.

I wish I could race on a track everyday but I don't make enough money(yet). I also need to work on my skills. The goPro doesn't lie.
thx tho I will certainly look into HPDE.
I want to get a second S and race 2 diff classes B/C my 04 S will run into competitive limits in STR(engine management issues.)
I'm talking my brother into getting one so we can break each others toys and do even more racing.
(2)drivers+(2)cars = maximum fun!

Autocross is fun for 45-75 seconds at a time, while track days are fun for 20-25 minutes at a time. So much fun.
