I went into the garage this morning and went around the front of the car to get in. +1 was about to get into the passenger side when I heard a scream. She went beack to the steps and screamed again.

Thats when she told me what the problem was.
This guys tail was sticking out from under the left side door. I don't know a lot about snakes but I know enough to keep a pistol in the garage loaded with rat shot. I pulled him out form the car and dispatched to that great snake hole in the sky

Here are a couple of pictures for your enjoyment. I think this is a copperhead but not sure.
Maybe someone out there knows?

Pretty sure that'd be a copperhead. *ANY* snake that has a 'fattened up' set of jawls...like you seek in the picture here...is to be considered poisonous.

I would have had to pull my +1 off the ceiling. See everyone wants a ride in the S.

She would have been there if the steps went that high.

They say if you get bit by a snake you should kill it and carry the head with you to the Poison control place. To some it may not be common sense.

Learned in Boy Scouts how to identify snakes.

Diamond shaped head = poisonous.

Round head = non-poisonous.

But I avoid 'em all.

Encountering a poisonous snake like a copperhead has to be wrenching!!

<insert hair raising smilie>

Also bat, you may want to pick up some "Snake Away." I've used this product for YEARS back in New Bern where snakes around my 2 acre home were a regular sight. After the use of this product, no more snakes.

They sell it at Lowe's Home Improvement by the pest items. I think it may be wise for you to place some around your home/garage.

Thanks. I bought some Snake Sulfer at the local hardware.

By the way, how do you cook one of these?
