Seems I just left North Carolina, and already there are wonderful folks asking me to come back and clear some more corners for them. So other than needing a break from travel (I'm going up to Columbia, MD this coming weekend to clear 6 S2000 corners ), I'm setting up this thread to spur interest in another trip down to NC for some corner clearing. Now, anyone that knows me knows that I'm not a hard-sell kinda guy. I just know my talent, and given some recent Carolina Forum posts/threads, I thought I'd set a weekend up to just travel south and clear some corners... I've flipped through my calendar and I'm available Sunday July 20th to clear corners for interested owners.

Note: I will be in New Bern assisting judging of Raul's SunCom Car Show on Saturday July 19th. I doubt I will be able to clear any corners on that Saturday.

Okay...so if you're interested, sound off here . Catch my sig link below if you have not before and you'll see what I offer. I would be willing to perform this clearing for each interested owner at the Option 2 pricing outlined in my sig. That'd be $135 per set for the clearing (interested owners would additionally need to order their desired replacement diffusers from Rick's S2000 Accessories website).

Ultimately, I would like to schedule 3 participants for Sunday. I have performed more in a day, but in truth, each car tends to take ~ 4 hours to complete the conversion process. I have successfully performed conversions in this manner a number of times now and everyone has had a blast. I will coordinate scheduling who will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd based on where they will be driving from, etc., to help expedite a smooth conversion for all. Times are generally set for 8am, noon, and 4pm. If a host is also a participant, then I try to schedule the host last for that day (since s/he already lives there...whereas others have to drive *somewhere* towards home ).

HKStallion will be hosting in Raleigh, NC.

I'm editing this single post (to be re-edited as necessary) to allow folks committed to participating in the 20th clearings to be aware of when they're scheduled, that they have indicated they received their diffusers [=got 'em =no got yet...or goin' nekkid], if they've indicated to me that they want amber replacement turnsignal bulbs [], etc.

Sunday, July 20th -- to be hosted by HKStallion in Raleigh, NC
  • GregC21 [lives in Rock Hill, SC & expressed interest via PM]
  • plittie -- [lives in Fayetteville, NC & is committed]

Dave

BIG PS here for clarification...

The OEM turn signal bulbs (behind the amber lenses) are clear. If you desire a different color, you should consider supplying any such replacement (with matching proper fitment) bulbs for this project. Some like the OEM bulbs to remain clear, some like amber bulbs from PepBoys to stay "legal", some like Hyper-white blue bulbs...its all a matter of taste. But interested folks should understand that this $135 does not include replacement turnsignal bulbs...its labor only (and my charming wit! )

I have found these amber bulbs locally at Pep Boys. If you would like me to purchase you a pair (I can get them for $5.50/pair -- please be willing to reimburse me)...just let me know in this thread and I'll have them in hand for your respective install. Thanks again!!!

Have I tapped the NC market or something? I've got 2 folks that indicated some interest. A couple NC owners have reason to be up in Richmond and are (or have already) driving their car up to me for their conversion. But as for this July 20th date, no one has actually committed to the idea of a conversion, and I've yet to hear from a willing host either.

I realize this date seems to be 1 month away but its efforts such as this that require planning and committment. So...here's a lil' TTT to see if we can get 3 folks and a host committed to this June 20th date...or if I should try setting this up for a later date (maybe around September ).

Thanks,
Dave

Now that's sorta critical for the whole "committment" part ....
