I'm thinking of maybe running up in the twisty roads north of Winston-Salem this weekend some time - anyone interested? I'd try and follow Golden Eagle's route.

NC-VA Border Run!

Date: July 29
Meet: 2 PM for Lunch
Place: "Little Italy Pizza & Restaurant" in the Five Forks Center
612 S Main St
King, NC 27021
(336) 985-5428
Location: King, NC

Directions from Winston-Salem
Take US 52N
Take EXIT 123 toward KING / TOBACCOVILLE
Turn RIGHT onto S. Main St.
Little Italy Restaurant is on the left about 2/10 miles (Look for the Five Forks Center Sign)

Directions from Mount Airy
Take US 52S (aka I-74)
Take EXIT 123 toward KING / TOBACCOVILLE
Turn LEFT onto S. Main St.
Little Italy Restaurant is on the left about 2/10 miles (Look for the Five Forks Center Sign)


MENU
Sub Sandwiches
Salads
Pizza
Italian Dishes
Price range $6.00 - $15.00

Remember
Full Tank of Gas (there are not many gas stations along the route)
Sunscreen (it's supposed to be sunny & warm)
FRS Radio (if you have one) Channel #1

The drive will start at 3:00 from the restaurant parking lot
Drive time will be about 1.5 to 2 hours

Please note, this is not an official meet and is not sanctioned by S2KI. It is only a gathering of local S2000 owners and enthusiasts to for a drive together over a planned route.

There is still plenty of time to sign up for this drive. Please post your interest on this thread and I will add your names to the list below.

Remember to bring your FRS radios. We will use Channel #1

Would be fun, but I'll be autocrossing at Sanford on Sunday, so thats my car activity for the weekend.

Ha, I forgot about that - I wan to break in my tires a bit more before I subject them to autocrossing, otherwise, I'd be there. Have fun and represent!

I'm thinking of a 1 pm start from W-S - we can head up through King according to Jay's directions. Should take a couple hours and depending on who can come, we can just end up closer to Greensboro...

Hmmm...this is tempting...I've been thinking of just staying home for the weekend...but a drive in the S2000 is always inviting!! I should be able to commit by Friday.
