Default Update: My blown up S2000

Just to give people a update. The #4 cylinder is gone to to the loss of oil pressure.

The local shop has ordered a whole new block for the car and will be replacing everything.

Now here is the part that made me really mad. I asked the owner if his insurance was paying for it and he said no that he is absording the cost.

I asked why and he said his insurance company told him that there is no way that much damage could have been caused with the oil light on for only a few seconds. He said the insurance companies stance was that I would have to sue Honda of America for making a faulty oil light.

Does this make any sense to anyone?

Good thing he is absorbing the cost then. Cause suing Honda would be pointless.

Insurance = "Protection Money" (in the mafioso-sense of the word!)...

sorry to here this. could be lawyer time. it is there fault due to the oil drain issue. regardless of a few seconds or minutes, starving a car of oil is usually death to the bottom end, like i said in the last post , if you need any help or parts, let me know. good luck

POACHER...read Dean's initial post here again. I don't think its "lawyer time" by any means at all.

Let me ask you guys this. Since there is going to be a new block put in the car, does that mean the VIN # no longer matches?
