tranny is whinning
i was heading to rockingham last night and halfway there the tranny started whining, had it took to the dealer in the morning and a tech said it was the wheel bearing wtf?, dont think so since it was coming from the tranny and stopped when the clutch was in, but now its one of the bearings inside the tranny. Hmm wonder how long this is gonna take to fix
Ive got a video of it whining if anyones interested ill post it
My tranny has never felt "the smoothest, crispest shifting transmission" like magazines say. Its always been kind of slushy but ive never drove another s2000 so i couldnt compare it.
off to the dealer once again for tranny related problems,
<<<never going to buy a car with more than 10 miles on it again

Joey,
I just had TSB 054 done and it made a HUGE difference! No more whining (buzzing) from 4k to 3k and the clutch engages within 6" from the floor.
Smoooooooooooooooooooth!
I had to tell the service tech. which bulletin to use though. Its a shame Honda doesn't train thier tech's. any better!

I never noticed mine being too slushy, but once I drove a 2002 with 500 miles on it, I noticed. It was way smoother, and the new clutch caught really close to the floor (which I'm 50/50 on due to my height).
I'm still trying to decider whether or not to get the tranny and clutch TSBs. The decelerate buzzing is starting to get on my nerves, but I haven't grinded in a long time and only 3 or 4 times total. Of course, it's only been in the 70s so far this year, so we'll what happens when we hit 90s later.
