Top Replacement in Charlotte
Hi All-
I searched on info for this, but got no results.
I would like to replace the original top on my MY01 with a glass rear window version.
Does anyone have recommendations for a shop in CLT that can do this? I can order the top off the net, but not sure I could do the install myself.
Thanks,
Phil

I'm thinking about going that route sometime too... i've got an MY01 that's on it's second top w/ the plastic window and i'd really like to step up to the glass w/ defroster... i heard it's a PITA to do tho...

just replaced the top on my 00...it's a lengthy process but doable, i might be willing to volunteer my time if you decide you want to do it yourself...

Replacing the whole top/frame/motor assembly is the quickest and easiest way. Conveniently enough, I will have a complete '02 top with frame and motors for sale in the next couple of weeks.

eh...longer than i'd like to admit? nah it wasn't too bad...longer than the 9 or so hours that a lot of the guys are posting, but i could do the next one in about that amount of time. i spent a lot of time looking around and being extra careful, plus it's always gonna take longer the first time doing something. all in all i'd say we (my uncle and i) worked on it for roughly 13 hours or so. that's having every possible tool handy though, if you're having to search for things or run out and get things it'll be longer. it was fun though, definitely worth the effort and the savings vs. paying someone else to do it.
