Default Tire troubles

My problem started when I was on the drive after the Toys for Tots Run a week ago.
The car felt a little odd on shifting so i posted a comment and got several suggestions as to what might be causing it. MLC pinned it when he said it could be improper tire pressure. So nuff that's what it as.
I reinflated the tire and went on not realizing this was more than a slow leak. Next day, it was down again.
Took the tire and wheel off and found a nail. OK no problem. Just get it fixed.

That's too simple.Tire shop called and told me it could not be fixed.
Here is the culprit.

This little PIA not only went into the tire, it squirmed around and put two more holes in the inside casing of my Star Spec that I put on in September.

Tire Rack just sold another tire. No, an I wish I had gotten the road hazard coverage.

I'm in withdrawal right now having not driven my S in nearly a week.

I should be rolling next week

Sorry to hear about it Lee - same thing happened to me earlier this year, but lucky for us both the tire was new enough that you only needed one new one, not two.

I've thought about road hazard before, but for the price per tire, and their short life spans, I've never gotten it. One flat in six years here, but as they say, your mileage may vary (literally).

Hey Lee, I wonder how long it was there? For it to get inside the tire you have to figure a while. Could that have been causing the vibration you have been having??

I suppose that could be.I will know when I get the new tire on.

As you know,I will delay the spindle nut project until later.

Yea, it could have been bad because if I had continued on that tire,it might have blown.

The casing on the inside had two gauges that looked most threatening.
