A Thank You Note
My sons and I were running the dragon in our Mazdas during the Wake the Dragon event in April 2005. I called my boys on the radio when I saw some pass and told them we should run with the Hondas and when they stop, we can check out the rides. Our attempts to stay with the S2000s failed miserably. We did find some parked at the gravel pit and checked them out. That’s when I made to call and decided to go shopping.
After buying my new 05 Suzuka, I started meeting other owners on the forums. Little did I know at the time that becoming associated with a group of car nuts would lead to a wonderful connection and relationship with many fine people.
The fact that I am of advanced years( turning 75 in July) seems to make no difference to the great people I know in the group. Hell, I’m old enough to be the grandfather of some of you but in spite of that, I am treated as an equal and that gives me a warm feeling. Linda and I look forward to many years ansd part of this fraternity.
Thanks again friends.

Lee, it really was great meeting you the other weekend; you have a sense of humor and a zeal for life that many older people do not, and it is no less fun hanging around you than anyone else at the meets. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we hope you stick around as long as you can keep up .

While I haven't really met any of you in person, I've always felt very welcome here.
I was a bit intimidated at first since the only message boards I've ever really frequented were rave an dance music related. Theyre a very friendly bunch too. Lol
it's been pretty cool so far and definitely helpful.
Cant wait to actually meet some of yas.

I agree, Lee. I've met some great people and have made some continuing friendships from S2Ki. Looking forward to more and to maybe meet you one day at an event if I ever get time off from work lol.
BobbyC, it's ironic what you said because as I was reading this thread I was bobbing my feet to a Dreamscape song lol.

As one of the less frequent posters here (but long time member of the forum), I am happy to have met you and chatted on a number of occasions with you, Lee. Don't know if you recall, but we both had our hardtops installed on the same day as part of Hardtopguy's group buy (that was a fun day for sure ).
Mine was the black AP1 (still have the pic just after the install):

In any case, it's been a pleasure to make your acquaintance!

Age is only a number! Glad to hear you had a positive experience
In our NSX club the "leader" who always took the initiative to organize events and volunteer their time was also a nice couple in their 60's and quite honestly who cares how old you are. We were all young once and will be old one day so enjoy life to the fullest.
