Ya they sure do have a big following, thats for sure. Most lists that rate good recent sports cars include the type R. On the other side, the reason I said that is because the design, while being a good one for when it was made, is now old. There is a ton of good old stuff out there, but some of it is old!! Everyone can disagree with me, but that car is too close looking to a regular integra to ever be a proper classic, and its now too outdated to run with todays good stuff. You can talk about modding until you are blue in the face, but out of the box it is not competitive now. Therefore, to me it is a trade in!

Ah yes - someone else that hasn't driven one. Birds of a feather...

Why not at least offer a fact-based argument (with personal experience)? Let me guess - you have none...

Hmmmmmm....Let me guess......Ahhh yes you need to STFU! I have driven one on several occastions. How about before you start throwing out generalizations you check your facts!!! I have never been a fan of the ITR's. I always thought they have been lacking, in what I would consider an acceptable sports car. They are FWD which is not optimal for sportscar. They handle great for a FWD car, but isnt that like winning the Special Olyimpics. Furthermore how bout you go back to your YEEEEEEEHAAAWWWW!!! TX Forum, this discussion does not involve you! oh yeah have a nice day!!!

Hah i sense a smart ass! Maybe this is the difference: everyone has an expectation of what a sports car should be. To me, I think it should be a car that will, under the right circumstances, burn pretty much anything else on the road that you would normally see on the road in that car's target category. If my car is good at cornering and I want to lose someone, all I have to do is go to a curvy road and lay into it. If I have a drag racer, I do my drag racing thing.

To you, I think your bar is set at: if it will beat a '95 civic stock, its a supercar.
The Integra Type R will still burn just about everything in its targeted category (sport compact FWD) in road racing (stock). The SRT-4 is very quick in modified form but right off the showroom floor, the ITR is still the standard bearer for handling and overall performance. The SRT-4 is a quicker car but not necessarily more of a sports car.

Face it - you can't name a better FWD sport compact out there. Just because the ITR isn't RWD doesn't make it less of a sports car. It's "targeted category" is exactly that - FWD sport compact - and it excelled and continues to excel in that niche.

I asked for a fact based argument with personal experience. You provided a) insults, b) generalizations, and c) blase comments personified in most ricers and internet racers.

Did you race the ITR you drove on a road course? If so, which course? Did you do hot laps and get it out of third gear? What FWD sport compact have you driven that is more of a sports car? What do you feel has displaced the ITR as the premium FWD sport compact?

Which facts did I present that you wish me to prove? Which do you feel you have disproved through your gibberish and ricer rhetoric?

Again, you're just proving my point for me. You make one statement about how you "drove one on several occasions", then proceed to insults and internet machismo. Congratulations - you're a typical internet poseur with unoriginal insults and a poor grasp of the English language.

Oh man. This is a riot. First of all, I dont really give a shit about front wheel drive. Second, its 195 hp low torque and 2600+ lbs which is pretty standard. It may have some extra cornering or braking power or maybe sound more "racecar" than a person would expect.

Again, you are probably used to a cheese ass car that would get destroyed by the integra. Once more, if you can take a car like the integra to its limits on a track, good for you. I bet its fun and a great experience for someone with an IQ below 70.

Come on man, poor grasp of the English language? Just because my post are not up to par with Yale and Harvard English Scholars, my grasp of the English language is poor! The only thing poor here is your soul. No I havent taken the ITR on a road course, as a matter of fact I havent taken any car on a road course. I have put it though it's paces in real world situations. This may not qualify as actual driving to you, but to the common man this is what matters most. When I say I have driven an ITR on several instances I mean that just as it sounds, several times! I had a friend back in school who drove a yellow ITR, and there was about a 2 month span where he didnt have his license, and I didnt have a car. I agree with you that it is great for what it is a FWD car, but as the best of....thats a matter of opinion. I have owned and driven more than enough FWD sports cars to know what I'm talking about. To me and this is going in the opinion pile I felt that the Mitsu Eclipse GST I drove handle as good as the ITR I drove around.

On to the facts. Where are your facts? The only thing I read in your posts were opinions. Till you can back up your claims with cold hard facts, dont dispute my origins of knowledge!

Like mentioned above the ITR was great when it first came out, but thats it. By today's standards it's very lacking. I can sit here and name several cars that better performing, better handleing, and better looking, but I dont care to right now. I just think that the FWD setup, is not ideal for a true sports car. I think most will agree that the S is more than capable of out performing the ITR.

Next time you come in, spouting YOUR gibberish, please take your own advice and provide facts! Oh and if this post is not coherant enough for you to read, then I apologize.
