I'm still planning on heading up there this Saturday. Hopefully traffic and weather won't be all that terrible so we can have a nice relaxed day.
What sort of places are there to eat out there?

Despite the long day, it was definately worth the trip out there.
It didnt seem all that crowded (though I managed to get stuck behind some of the only slow cars that were out there) and there were NO COPS, apart from the 1 that got called in when a rider went off a turn over a cliff. Also, a Miata apparently ran wide in a turn head on into a motorcycle who also had a passenger. Hopefully all involved in the incidents are OK.
I'm waiting for photos from Killboy and others to get posted up to see if there are any decent ones. I always seemed to get stuck behind a car right as I was coming up on Killboy's location, but hopefully 25mph looks faster in photo's than when driving, haha.
I'll also post up a video and some photos that were taken later today. It really was just about a perfect day. Along with the Dragon, we also did the 120 loop in TN from the Dragon, out to 360 and then down to the Cherohala Skyway, which was an awesome road (but had a few more leaf-ers on it that I would have liked).

Some not super fast video. This was our first time out there so we didnt really want to start the day off flying off the road.

And some photos. They're not all that sorted, but there's some good ones in there, including a bunch of Dressed2Kill, who we ran into at the end of the day.

Nope, no pictures of the CR. I barely caught a glimpse of it getting trailered in and wasnt totally sure it was a CR, and then when we saw it on the Dragon, it was already past before I could tell Diana to get a picture. I bet that road would be even more fun with the stickier tires and more downforce that the CR gets.
And thanks for the compliment on the pictures, but my girlfriend Diana took the majority of them so credit goes to her. The first page or so are the only pictures I took, the other 17 pages are from her camera.
