Yeah, most sporting goods or camping stores will have the patches. be careful though, the outside might be black, but the adhesive side is usually white, not good if you have a big hole.

yes i'm going to be doing the replacement myself, with (a lot of) help from my (very) mechanically inclined uncle. everything i've read from other members tells me the job is 9.5-10 hours, so i should be ok. someone did send me a pdf that CLOVIS created when he did his, which has instructions and some pics. i won't turn down any extra assistance though, so if you have something besides his instructions that you think would help i'd love to have it. email me if you like at JYOUNG927@aol.com

Donny, check out C. Fredericks off of Central Ave. (near Viking Imports). They do all of our top replacement/ repair, but they are usually canvas. We also used to use Carolina Restyling and Upholstry...used to be off of S.Tryon (uptown) but recently moved and Im not sure where their new location is. Hope this helps.

Jeremy,

Whenever you get around to seriously doing this, I'd love to observe at least part of the process. I'm toying with the idea of replacing my (already aftermarket) soft top with a plastic window with the MY02 soft top with the glass rear window, ie: the exact same thing you're doing.

hi everybody, been awhile since ive posted. I recently replaced my top, and did the work myself...was no fun at all. i finished in one day, but spent the whole day working on it. Personally i would have an upholstry shop do the work next time. My local shop quoted me a price of around 500-600 to replace the top, and 250 of it is in materials and stitching. just my two cents though, good luck with yours
