Did the morning drive at 5am to work today, and it was snowing pretty hard. Coming back, the piss poor road plowing/salting job they did made matters worse. All they accomplished here in Wilmington was compacting the snow down more to the point of where it's black ice. Not fun, but drivable if necessary. Plenty of crashed trucks here too. NC just isn't prepared for actual winter weather.

I am not prepared...I got the flu today! I am sure it was from some weed going to the gym sick and spreading it.

I drove my winter car just to be safe. My S2000. I watched SUV's spin off into the ditch because they were doing 35 on sheet ice. Morons. First thing they do when the hit a skid is slam the breaks too.

The drive home a 1am was fun. Just enough crush on the ice to get a little stupid in the ruts and not lose it. The town of clayton decided the plows didn't need to run today. Made for a fun trip.

Got about two inches in Columbia. I lived in state college for a few years with a 2wd long bed truck, so I got pretty used to how to drive in snow. Drove in to work an hour late yesterday, 5am, in my 4wd truck it was like the snow wasn't even there.

Well it's Thursday.......schools closed for the 3rd day in a row! They didn't need to cancel Tuesday.

Wife said driving in today was crazy with all the ice out there. So I can't even take him to the Day Care that will open at 10 today. Grrr.....guess it's another day of Mickey Mouse Club House for him.

I predict they will have a late start tomorrow too at the very least :-)

Back in 2000 we had a storm that dumped 21 inches of snow. Now that was fun !!

That storm was awesome. I had a Jeep Wrangler on 35's at the time and was pulling people out of ditches and doing donuts on 440 for DAYS.

Quick Reply: So it's going to snow.
