Saturn Sky Roadster

Somebody sent me this link. Looks like a lot of the lines were copied from the Elise. Kind of cool for a Saturn

Wow, that's pretty cool. We have a 2000 LS1 4Cyl. and love it. The automatic transmission is best in class, handling in-town, highway and mountains near perfect. It's also the only car we test drove who's automatic transmission shifted anywhere near the readline indicated on the tach (most shifted a good 1000 rpms below at WOT).
Hmmm.... wonder if I could convince my wife to trade in the LS1 on this? Two roadsters is the way to go!

Gosh, exterior looks very nice...for a Saturn (or for any car for that matter). Just amazing that Saturn would be the push for this vs. another of the GM families. Nice lines.
...now...about that hp (screams Saturn there).

Hmmm.... not bad for a Saturn car... hell American for that matter. Does ahve the Elise flavor going on about itself. It does have low hp/ tq numbers but if the curb weight isnt heavy it could still be a quick car.

From looking at the specs the weight is within 100lbs of our cars and the torque is slightly higher than the 2.0. What is really going to be a selling point is the mod-ability. It costs $$$ to get significantly more hp out of a S2K. If the sky can be increased a decent amount over the 5-10hp that can be coaxed out of an S2k with bolt ons then it would be a decent alternative to the S2K which I suspect will be discontinued by the time the Sky is released.
