Sad Sight
Not sure if this was out for a test-drive or someones personal ride, but there was a '04 white wrecked on South Blvd/Westinghouse today.
I'm not quite sure what happened, but it looked like the driver tried to make a U-turn over the median and got stuck plus extra consequences.
Anyway....pretty sure know one was hurt.

I wish I would have had my camera with me, but it didn't looked forced. My initial guess is that it was a service tech from Hendrick taking it to B&H Body Shop and somebody got a little impatient at the light.
Btw, I was very suprised how many cars where at B&H (when I was there for an estimate on Prelude repairs) that were coming straight from the dealer lots and I assuming going straight back as new. I didn't think touch-ups cosmetic or otherwise where allowed if the car was listed as 'new'.

^happens a lot. my friend runs a shop out and they have a lot of "chain" incidents and stuff like that. even had a viper once where the trailer guy dropped a chain on the front bumper and did 1k in damage

During my brief time selling Hondas and Mitsubishis, we had several cars have bumpers touched up and then sold as new. But one instance takes the cake. During a hurricane, an Eclipse Spyder was left on the grass by the roadside. The ditch flooded and the car wound up with about 2 inches of water in the floor. They replaced the carpet and some electrical component(amp maybe?) that was under the seat. They sold the car as new shortly there after.

^^ Not cool if they didn't mark the title.
Thanks to Hurricane Floyd, NC requires that if a car has been flooded the title must be marked "water-damaged" or "flood vehicle." There is a web site you can check VINs and see if the car has had it's title marked.

Yep, it was the hurricane right before Floyd. Dennis was the name, I think. It wasn't a bad hurricane, but caused some minor flooding right on the coast(Morehead City, Atlantic Beach). Luckily, Floyd passed to the west of that area. The car was sold as new with no indication that it was flooded. It was a deplorable thing to do but it was the general manager's decision and he's been since fired for things unrelated.
