Hey everyone!

As we get down to the wire I have been notified of a change. The parade committee wants all students to ride on a float and since we don't currently have 10 cars (one for each person on Homecoming Court) I thought this would be okay. This does not change anything about the parade lineup though, we are still in it and will be advertised as s2ki, another off-campus entry. Please do not think that you do not "fit" now that you are not transporting a student, we have other off-campus entries and it'll just be a great time. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'm sorry for the last minute change.

 

Damn, and I was hoping to have a hot young lady feel the raw power beneath her legs...

 

Ok...well, not wanting to _CRUSH_ any spirits here...but it seems awfully...hmmm...what's the word...



Anyway...I don't especially feel like driving my S in a lineup "just because."

I mean...I felt like I had "purpose" before by transporting a student...now I'm gonna feel like a dweeb (no extra comments, please)

s2kpwned - we are meeting at Harris Teeter, 7:45 for a Starbucks fix.

 

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. We could have amended plans a bit sooner if we would have known earlier, but this was sprung on us today. I still think it will be a cool little meet for us just to get together and hang out as a group again before it gets much cooler. We are basically just going to be representing the Carolina s2k group. I hope everyone will still enjoy themselves but I don't want anyone to feel like they NEED to be there.

 

I'm with Airgate, (can't believe it) I'd feel like I should be wearing a fez if I was just driving the car in a parade.

 

Sheila and I will still meet everyone at Starbucks and drive down but I don't think we'll be driving in the parade. Maybe we can still have lunch and a drive afterwards.

 

I think I am in the same boat. Kind of disapointed. Good luck and I hope everything goes well. Thank you, definitely for the opportunity.

Whoa...I think it would still be awesome for us to get together... Let's plan on showing up...I am since I _did_ commit.

 

Oh, I am definitely still going to be there but I didn't want anyone showing up without knowing what was really going on. I actually feel horrible that what seemed to be such a cool event was changed so drastically at the last second, so I understand anyone not wanting to be in the parade now. I want everyone to know that we appreciate everyone's willingness to help out with the event when we were under the impression we would be driving the homecoming court.
