S2k Insurance in NC (20 year old)
I'm back in the market for a used s2k. I have my eye on the GP White/Red and there are 2-3 for sale in the area (South Eastern NC)
anyway..I'm wondering what insurance costs I am looking at.
I am switching my residence to NC, from NJ.
I am 20 years old, no points on my license, 1 at fault accident (due to stupid NJ laws..)
What can I expect to pay per 6 months or year?
I have no family hear, so I won't be on my parent's anymore, but I will be picking up a beater for my daily driver (with liability only), hoping to get a multi car discount and keep mileage and costs down on the S2k.
okay..i'm just rambling now..any guesses on what I can expect to pay?

If it matters, I'm in New Hanover county.
I'm technically in county land, outside Wilmington city limits.
Yet my mailing adress says Wilmington (28407 zip)
this unincorporated land stuff confuses me

not worth the risk
I had already talked to a lawyer friend about that
If you get in an accident there is a VERY good chance that your insurance will not cover you.
Not worth the risk IMO

Yeah..I'd check on it
what I was told..is that if they do any investigating and uncover that you are the primary driver they do not have to pay because the insurance policy is not valid
It wouldn't be hard to tell that it wasn't just a vacation trip either, when they do a bit of checking..i.e. your car is registered at an out of state school
I may be wrong..but this is what I was told by a lawyer friend
Im gonna take his word and not take the risk on it
I suppose the only way of knowing is to ask your insurance agent..but that might raise a few eyebrows ;-)

I'm 24 in durham with a clean record and pay $570 per 6 months with full lease coverage. I am under Metlife with corporate rates, so expect a little more than that.
hope that helps.
