Frank Gibson in Burlington can do all this work - heck - he completely rebuilt the whole rear-end suspension when Karen wrecked in the '01 CRV a few years back - and you sould never have known anything was ever wrong with that car - the thing was within a few hundred dollars of being totalled. And we're talking and on-demand 4WD, after all...

Frank used to work for a Honda dealer before he went independent - restoring classics is his main business, and the body shop work fills in his spare time.

I've seen his rebuild on a stomped-in GPW - that car looked as good as the day it left Japan.

We've now had a few members use Frank Gibson - and I personally have taken 3 vehicles to him - all with the same result - perfection.

I agree with Karl - we're not trying to be alarmists, but the frame and subframes on an S are rather fragile items. Make sure they get it right, and that you have recourse if they do not.

Do not go to Lake Norman paint and body. They are hacks and they don't stand behind their own warranty. $1300 and within a year the front bumper had chipped away (they blamed it on the factory paint the choose to paint to) and I'm also noticing cracks now.

Again I tell you, my review for Lake norman Paint and Body is a 0 out of 5.

Thx again guys for the info. I called the guy that is doing my work and he said he will check the alignment, and when doing this he will see if the frame is bent at all. Just curious does anyone have a wheel, or set of stock wheels for sale?

Also this guy warranties his work 100%

7 grand? Dang what do you run for suspension? Did you have to change everything including the wheels?
I hate pulling these out. But just for you...

I did not know a S2000 had 4 way steering Ok now I understand why you have $7k in repairs. Luckily the curb I hit sideways was half that size and I didn't drive up on it. By the time I hit the curb I was not going extremely fast but enough to shake my wife up and get pissed at me, as if I was not already mad at myself.

I wasn't going that fast either by the time I hit the curb. I was looking out the window and I said to myself "Good I'm gonna stop" When I hit the curb my head hit the side rail on the convertible top. 5 stitches to add insult to injury!

Well I just got my car back, the auto body shop did an amazing job USA Auto, Clayton NC. The frame is in perfect shape, but I did find out that the previous owner rotated the tires so the fronts are larger then the rear. I will be rotating those back tomorrow.

Thx for everyone that gave good advice.

This may have been a typo, but just in case: the front tires are supposed to be smaller than the rear tires.
