Default S2K damage :(

So tonight I brought my wife out for a ride with my S2K. I have owned the S2K for about 2 months now, its my 3rd honda, previous was a Prelude. Well I got in my first small accident after driving for 10 years, of course it has to be with my baby.

Came off the interstate off ramp, lit up the tires went sideways, turned the car left to straiten her back out but of course she had to steer a little to far to the left. I lost control and ran into the median, took out a poll. I thought my fender was gone, luckily this is all the damage + my alignment is way off, and my wheel is bowed in a tad.

Does anyone know a decent priced body shop that is also good at what they do? Like a guy out of his home that does amazing work. Basically I want the best bang for my buck, no dealerships. I live in Clayton right outside Raleigh.

Any help would be appreciated, thx guys I am bummed

Yeah, when our cars snap, especially when VTEC kicks in, they really snap. And you better be ready when it does!

Sorry to hear, and see, what happened. Not sure how far you're willing to drive for a body shop, but I just had something pretty similar fixed up.

Someone pulled a hit and run on my car and that was the result. Very similar placement to yours but slightly less of a dent and less paint chipping. I took it to Gibson Auto Works here in Burlington (about an hour from Raleigh).

They did an excellent job. Only way you can tell anything happened is because of the fresh paint in that area. They even did a good job of cleaning up my car from cones I hit during autocross, haha.

Sorry, I'm not sure about who to go to for your wheel. Worse comes to worse, AP1 wheels are pretty darn cheap now anyway.

From my past experiance, only way to save it, is to ride it out and hope you plenty of room with no one on the opposite road or else your screwd. I've had it happen two times and was lucky cause it was a dead night. I think theres a way to correct it, but good luck, it takes lots of skills I don't have.

Well, I call it a "snap". First time I experienced it was on a left hand turn. I was coming off stamey livestock (sp) onto 441 at the intersection with Alice Drive Church. It goes from 4 lanes to two and it was just a tad bit damp out. I was trying to over take on the outside. I got a good launch off the light but as soon as I pulled over to the right it kicked into VTEC. The rear end kicked out so quick that I didn't have time to do anything. I remember giving it opposite steer and some gas. NOPE. I spun around and luckily was facing the direction I was originally going, Only thing is I was in the opposite lane. YIKES. I got it back but had to let off the gas and do it's thing. I'm just glad there were only two other cars around.
