Default Ran into another issue

Yeah so i ran into another issue besides my obsession with strip clubs EPIC NIGHT!!
anyway my front Seal on the timing chain cover behind the harmonic balancer leaks quite a bit i have noticed. has anybody else had this problem when running FI?? and is it easy to fix? its the small $h!t that causes the biggest problems so i need to get this problem fixed STAT!! Ideas, thoughts
Thanks
Blake

im relatively sure they had some info on this under the "blow by and venting" thread. Something about not using the PCV stuff anymore and running open vents into a catch tank. Alloy craft sells one for the boosted crowd last i saw. You may have to tap larger holes into your valve cover if you are running alot of boost. (I am by no means an expert, just done my research a bit)

I agree. Sounds like crankcase pressure. If you're running the stock breather hose to the intake arm you shouldn't have enough to blow seals though. A catch can may solve the problem, although that seal may be toast by now. Is your compression good? You may want to upgrade to a supra pcv valve if you're running one.

sounds like you blew it up... do a compression test.

No there is still power. I see where the leak is coming from. What supra Pcv should I get the 2jz-gtte or the NA.

If there is enough pressure to push oil out of the front main seal then you are getting some crazy blow-by. I'd start w a compression test if that's ok then replace the pcv

You can always clean out the one you have. Soak it in some Carb cleaner

I think the problem started when my timing chain snapped one day and this shop replaced it and all the seals so I'm pretty sure they dicked it up

Yeah that's possible too. The seal is pretty easy to change once you get the crank pulley off

How complicated is the pulley?
