Raleigh Caravan to WTD?

I dont mind chilling here in raleigh. But I'd like to go earlier than Saturday. for the WTD event friday is usually the check in day and saturday is the driving day.
I personally do very much enjoy the parkway, but i'd like to get more driving done in the Dragon Area than just saturday. Thats why going up Thursday is nice. Because you can enjoy all the great roads around the TN/NC area and around the dragon. Such as the Cherohola skyway, HWY 28 etc.
IMO a plan should be to drive up thursday sometime or at lastest friday morning. That way we can all maximize our dragon time.

OK, talked to some more folks today about the caravan.
Potentially in:
Jon and Lisa (ASH42)
Kenneth (+1 ?) (GrandMasterKhan)
J (JCoxRocks)
Counting on:
Dave (parkerdt)
Karen (Parkie)
Pedro (PJCC) - will be unable to make it
Figuring he's gonna lollygag, sleep late, and miss the fun:
Matt (SakiGT)
Figuring he will beat us all there:
Lee (Batguano)
Should be a fun time and a good drive! Post up as plans come together.
For right now, we're planning on pulling out of Mebane at 10am Thursday Morning, which should put us at Fontana around 3-3:30.
We should exchange cell #s and pick a radio frequency as the event get closer.
