Problem with intake...
Just installed my ARC intake chamber and induction box over the weekend. Everything is fine, except that the black underside of the hood, dunno what it's made out of, is rubbing the intake since it's angled down. The polish on the intake chamber is heating up and combining with the black material and sitting on the chamber.
I know this might be a shot in the dark w/o pics but I'm wondering if there's anything I can put over where it's rubbing so that this won't happen or if there's something else I can do. I will post pics tomorrow when I have better lighting and more time. Thanks.

You might try loosening the bolts that hold the filter box and raising it as much as you can before you run out of bracket or the filter box starts interfering with the hood. With the filter box higher the intake will not have as much of an angle.
You can reach the rear bracket bolt with a wrench but you'll have to detach the front bracket from the filter box and lift the box enough to get at the front bolt.
The intake side of the filter box is resting directly on the split hose that shields it from the frame cross member. Watch what's going on there as you try to raise the box. In fact, you might be able to reduce the angle of the intake just by shimming the intake side of the filter box to raise it a bit. If the intake is just barely touching, that may be enough.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Hahahaha!! I'll be sure to refund all that "cleaning up" work you did after the "real" work was done. I'm going to try and loosen it up tonight and see if it will move. I'll post what happens later tonight.
